The cheapest erectile dysfunction (ED) pills are generic Viagra, called.
The term "generic" refers to the active ingredient of a medicine or drug rather than to the advertised brand name under which the medicine is sold. It is a term referring to any drug marketed under its chemical name without advertising.
Pfizer made the originaltablet that is often referred to as the “blue pill”.The patent expired in 2013 which then allowed other pharmaceutical manufactures to make a generic version under the name of the active ingredient called Sildenafil. They are exactly the same medically and perform in the same way with the same side-effects.
As with most branded products, Viagra is sold at a higher price, therefore the generic tablets sold asare much cheaper.
Medically there is no difference between a generic medicine and the branded medicine, as they both have the same active ingredients to make them perform in the same way. They only differ in the “bulking” agents used to fill the tablet as the amount of active ingredient required, in this case Sildenafil, is very small. This makes the tablets bigger and easier to handle.
The main difference between generic andbranded named prescription medicines is cost with generics being much cheaper
Every pharmacy can choose what price they sell at, as there are no fixed prices. It will depend on what price the pharmacy can buy the drug from the wholesaler and the cost of their own overheads. They can they decide what mark-up they require and some pharmacies choose to sell some products at higher prices.

All pharmacies using a UK General Medical Council, to prescribe their medicines will also be registered with the UK government Agency the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Those online pharmacies who are not registered with the CQC either use pharmacist prescribers or foreign doctors.
You will then know and have the confidence that all the brands being offered are genuine and will work in the same way. All the pharmaceutical companies are inspected by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to ensure they manufacturer the drugs to the same quality standard. This means that the key ingredient that is referred to as the “active” ingredient is exactly the same in all brands.
The other inactive ingredients that make up the bulk of the tablet are called “excipients” and can vary.
For those people who are allergic to or have an intolerance to lactose, then the is ideal for you as it is lactose free. You can check the additional excipients on the patient information leaflet supplied with your tablets.
Although medically all the generic tablets are identical, they may look different as they can vary in colour, shape and size due to the varying excipients.
The patent for, owned by Pfizer, expired in July 2013, which then allowed other pharmaceutical companies to produce generic. There are a number of companies now manufacturing which include Accord, Ajanta, Dr Reddy’s, Mylan, Teva, Torrent and Zentiva. Even Pfizer make a that they sell cheaper than Viagra although generally more expensive than the equivalent generic brands.

The Food and Drug Administration on Thursday issued a warning for the popular erectile dysfunction drug Cialis. The agency said that there is no evidence that it has been linked to any adverse health effects, including heart problems. The warning comes just a few weeks after the drug was withdrawn from the market for a similar use by the United States Food and Drug Administration.
FDA issued the warning about the drug after the FDA's advisory committee on Wednesday recommended that the drug remain on the market and that the Food and Drug Administration be required to act on the evidence. The committee said it found no evidence the drug caused heart problems, but recommended that it be considered on the basis of the FDA's analysis.
The FDA said it was concerned about the lack of evidence that the drug caused these problems. It said the agency's review of more than 30,000 patient reports found that some patients taking the drug were able to stop taking the pills, but the studies did not prove that the pills caused the problems.
The FDA said the drug can cause a condition known as priapism, a permanent damage to the penis. This condition can result from a variety of factors, including erectile dysfunction, diabetes, and other conditions. The FDA said the safety profile of the drug was "confident" the drug was safe for use. However, its review of more than 30,000 patient reports found that some patients had experienced "symptoms that were not listed on the label" that included problems with blood flow to the penis.
The FDA said there is no evidence the drug caused priapism or that it was a direct result of an allergic reaction to Viagra or similar drugs. The drug's maker, Pfizer Inc., said it was concerned about the lack of evidence that it caused these problems. Pfizer, however, said there was no evidence it had been linked to these problems. The company said there was no evidence there was a link between the drug and a serious heart condition. The company said it was concerned about the lack of evidence that it has studied the drug and the lack of information on its benefits and risks.
FDA said the agency is reviewing all information submitted by patients who have taken Viagra and will be required to provide more information.
"The safety and efficacy of Viagra have not been assessed in a definitive fashion by FDA, and there is no evidence Viagra caused these adverse health effects in patients taking the drug," it said. "The FDA should not delay the initiation of new treatment options for patients who are taking Viagra, and the safety and efficacy of Viagra have not been evaluated in a definitive fashion in patients who are taking other ED drugs or other similar treatments for the same disease."

A pharmaceutical company that sells erectile dysfunction medicine has been fined by Egypt’s Justice Board for failing to disclose a link between the drug and a dangerous condition.
The drug manufacturer was fined by the Supreme Military Authority (MoAA) after its patent had expired and had to pay a total of about $2m to the court, The Mail on Sunday reported.
Sildenafil, the active pharmaceutical ingredient in Viagra, has been registered as an ingredient in the drug, the company said in a statement.
According to the statement, the company sold a product to two Egyptian doctors after they claimed to have suffered an erection that lasted for more than four hours. The doctors were told by the company to stop selling the product.
“This is a serious matter and a violation of the law,” MoAA Executive Director Abdulaziz Boutar told the Mail on Sunday. “This was a breach of duty of care and responsibility of the company.”
The company is not disclosing the full extent of the breach of duty of care, according to the statement.
In a statement, the company said: “We have been working with our partners and partners on a coordinated strategy to combat the ongoing threat of counterfeit drugs and their spread.
